In the USA, more precisely in Los Angeles, Rob Moffitt has created something unique in the plant scene. The nurse wanted to open a houseplant business based on his passion for plants. However, the pandemic put a damper on his plans. Luckily we say today, because instead of a shop, the young American opened the House Plant Truck, with the motto: “If people can't come to a shop, maybe I can come to them”.
The Haus Plant Truck officially opened on May 9, 2021 and operates just like a food truck, only with plants. The truck stops in the hottest neighborhoods of Los Angeles, from Abbot Kinney in Venice to Sunset Junction in Los Feliz, where great houseplants, accessories and merch can be purchased. The Haus Plant Truck also works with festivals and pop-up events. Customers can always find out the truck’s locations in advance on the Instagram profile or website.
We think something like this would be great in Germany's big cities too. After all, there are flowers at the weekly market, so why not mobile houseplants and accessories?
