The money tree (Crassula ovata) is a very popular, easy-care houseplant. It has its origin in South and East Africa and belongs to the succulents. As a houseplant, it can reach a height of up to one meter. Its thick fleshy leaves are used to store water. Which is why the money tree only needs to be watered every two weeks. It prefers a bright to sunny spot, but doesn't like direct sunlight or draughts. To get it to bloom, it is beneficial to hibernate, placing it in a cooler spot (5-15 degrees) over the winter months.
The money tree is non-toxic to humans and animals.
